CRKT has some of the strongest collabs in the industry and this is one of ‘em! The new CRKT Monument Liner Lock is an exciting collab between CRKT Knives and Michael Walker. The fish scale design on the titanium reflects light in many different directions giving the blade a very whimsical feel. Combined with the Damasteel pivot cover, and iconic Walker blade shape, this is one of the most attractive blades I have received all year! I had the honor of meeting Michael Walker (designer of this knife and the inventor of the linerlock mechanism along with 20 other Knife mechanisms) this year at Blade Show 2023. the fact that he has collaborated with CRKT to release a production version of his designs is exciting.
The steel is M390 which ensures, strength, sharpness, and edge retention. I let my guard down the other day and sliced my thumb real good with this one ha ha. The IKBS ball bearing pivot mechanism means smooth deployment with an easily accessible flipper tab. The liner lock allows for one-handed closing (though I definitely need to practice on this model as I’m not used to the tighter fit of a liner lock like this lionsteel one).
Made in Italy, and available in 2 color ways (this blue is my favorite 😍).
